The AUA CPD Framework

At the heart of everything we do is the AUA CPD Framework; a versatile tool that supports the career development of higher education professionals. It offers a model of nine professional behaviours, building on best practice in the HE sector and elsewhere. It works on an organisational and individual level, for professionals at all career stages and can be applied across all roles in the sector.

Publications

Our publications support our members to develop their careers in higher education by fostering a culture of open, positive discussions and collaboration, based on the principles of knowledge sharing.

Perspectives: Policy and Practice in Higher Education
Perspectives provides innovative material which analyses and informs higher education management. The quarterly journal shares ideas which enhance the practical aspects of higher education management and administration, further managers’ knowledge and understanding of developments within the environment and provides a platform for the exchange and internationalization of ideas in relation to the management of higher education systems and institutions.

Contributions published in the journal:

• Disseminate ideas which enhance the practical aspects of higher education management and administration
• Further managers’ knowledge and understanding of developments within the current higher education environment
• Foster debate about the implications of major external influences on the system and key issues for institutional management
• Provide for the exchange and internationalization of ideas in relation to the management of higher education systems and institutions

The journal is published four times a year, and is available to AUA members in both hard copy and online. AUA Members can access all back issues of Perspectives online.

Good Practice Guides: At the AUA our biggest resource is the collective wealth of experience and knowledge held by our members. Since 1986 we’ve been collecting and publishing this insight in our highly regarded series of Good Practice Guides.
