In higher education today there are so many career options and opportunities that navigating your personal professional route can be a challenge.
Whether you are considering your options at a career crossroads, know where you want to take your career but don’t know how to get there or maybe you haven’t decided on or discovered your route; this development day will help you take control of your career direction.
You’ll learn ways to plan and consider the steps to take to identify and maximise the opportunities for professional development around you. Together we shall explore a number of tools and resources you can use to support your career progression and manage it successfully.
You will be introduced to the AUA’s Continuing Professional Development Framework, identifying how you can use it to support your professional growth. You’ll leave the day with an action plan, lots of practical resources and a clearer direction for your own professional development.

This is a practical workshop aimed at those looking to focus or refocus on their career, to identify career ambitions and learn how to maximise opportunities for professional development and progression.

- Practice applying a variety of tools and techniques to plan your professional growth
