The NFTS is widely acknowledged as one of the best film schools. Over the last five years the School has had more Oscar nominations than any other film school in the world and has won the BAFTA for Best Short Animation four times in a row.
The School, unique in its creative and craft proposition of excellence, is undergoing a period of significant growth and transformation. This year it has admitted more students to a wider range of degree and non-degree courses taught in its newly created state of the art teaching facilities than at any other time in its history.

We are looking for an outstanding individual to lead student administration at the NFTS. You will be accountable to the Director for the management of processes underpinning the student journey, the School’s course offer and the management of data on students and courses. You will be expected to improve continually the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of the processes and services provided by the NFTS, in a number of areas including: Registry, Curriculum Coordination, the Scholarship Programme, the Library, Student Welfare and Quality Assurance, in line with the School’s strategy and the need to deliver an excellent student experience. You will have the chance to make a key contribution to the School’s strategic direction and management as a member of the Management Team.

You will need to have substantial relevant experience at a senior level in a Higher Education Institution; You will possess a full understanding and working knowledge of UK HE policies, practices and academic regulations in relation to student administration, student welfare and support. You will have a significant understanding and experience of student records systems and data management, as well as the UKVI requirements. Your numerical and analytical skills will be excellent. You will also have a passion for and ability to implement digital solutions, excellent prioritisation skills and a commitment to sustained process improvement.

Description

We are looking for a motivated, experienced Head of Quality and Student Experience to join the SAE UK Directorate of Academic
and Student Services team, based at our Oxford HQ. You will bring a genuine passion for delivering continuous improvement in
quality, the student experience, and embrace the spirit and values of SAE and our commitment to providing innovative teaching,
learning and education strategies.

As the senior academic administrative officer of SAE UK, working with the UK Dean, you will provide expert management of SAE
quality processes and registry services, and our academic and student services administration. This includes student records,
student services, quality assurance and regulation. You will be our expert in UK higher education culture and practices.
A key objective is that you will ensure the timely submission of key compliance deadlines, i.e. HESA returns, as well as providing
the strategic direction and leadership for all aspects of the student experience.

Essential Criteria:

• Demonstrable leadership and operational experience in tertiary education and successfully managing teams, inspiring
focus on quality, results and motivation to achieve and set standards of student service, staff development, and quality;
• Expert knowledge and experience in UK quality processes and HE administration, UK regulatory submissions, legislation
and regulation;
• Strong administration skills, organised, systems oriented with a meticulous attention to detail;
• Ability to prioritise and manage competing demands;
• Experience in designing and implementing systems to provide effective student experience, support and employability
services;
• Experience using Student Management Systems, email, and standard Office applications;
• Understanding of WHS, Anti-Discrimination, Sexual Harassment, Access and Equity, EEO principles and practices, and
other relevant legislation;
• Right to live and work in the UK.

Desirable Criteria:

• Knowledge of creative media industries
